The wool is milled and brushed until the weave closes up. It keeps its line on the hanger and softens where your elbows bend, which is how the coat slowly becomes yours.

Cut roomy, with space for a knit underneath.
The raglan shoulder and deep armhole leave room for a heavy sweater without the sleeve pulling tight. If you mostly wear a shirt beneath it, take one size down.

Care
Brush it, air it, rarely clean it.
Wool looks after itself more than you would think. Hang it by an open window after a wet day, brush along the grain, and dry clean it once a season at most.

01SizingWhich size should I take?
Take your usual size if you plan to wear knitwear underneath; the room for it is already in the pattern. If you sit between two sizes, or will mostly wear a shirt beneath, go one down.
The size guide lists the finished chest, length and sleeve for every size, and the fit finder suggests one from a coat you already own.
02ShippingWhat does delivery cost?
Nothing within the EU: shipping is free on every order over €80, so the coat travels on us. It leaves the Lisbon atelier folded once in a cotton bag, and the tracking link reaches you the day it is sent.
03RepairsWhat happens if it tears?
Post it back with the repair card from the inside pocket, or bring it into one of our stores. A torn pocket bag, a lost horn button, a cuff worn thin: the atelier that cut it will mend it, and we tell you the plan before we start.
A mend shows a little. We think that is the point, and our notes on mending explain why.
04ReturnsCan I change my mind?
Yes, within 30 days. Try it on at home over your thickest sweater and walk the hallway in it. If it is not the one, send it back unworn with the tags on and we refund you once it reaches Lisbon.

The knit the pattern was drafted around. Its ribbed collar shows just above the coat’s when you button up, and the deep armhole takes its bulk without pulling at the elbow.
