The slow case for keeping less.
We started RIVISTA in a borrowed apartment in 2019 with a simple frustration: the things we wore didn’t last. The things we kept on shelves weren’t made by anyone we knew. The system was broken in a way that everyone admitted but nobody fixed.
We don’t think we’ve fixed anything either. We just decided to make a smaller version of the system, one we could see end to end. Twelve people. Twelve workshops. Twelve pieces a year. A bookkeeper who knows our names.
The math isn’t easy. Our linen crewneck costs four times what a mall equivalent does, and we know it. We’re not pretending to be for everyone. We’re pretending to be for someone who’d rather have one good thing than four bad ones — and is willing to wait.

Started in a Lisbon apartment with two pieces & €4,000.

First studio space on Rua das Trinas. Hired maker #04.

Repair program launched. 400 items mended to date.

Slow by default.
Two seasons a year, twelve pieces. A new linen takes 18 months from sketch to ship. We can’t and won’t go faster.
Honest materials.
European linen, wool, brass, ceramic, hardwood. No blends to hide cheaper fibers. Every fabric is traceable to the mill.
Repair, forever.
Lifetime repair on every piece, by the same makers who made it. Cost: more than we ever earned on the sale. We don’t care.
Climate-neutral.
Certified since 2024. 100% recycled shipping, carbon-neutral logistics, every workshop on renewable power.
Editorial over ads.
We don’t pay for placements. Every photo in the magazine is shot by the studio team. Every word is written by someone who works here.
Small on purpose.
Twelve people, max. No middle managers. Every hire is approved by the whole team. We stop growing when it stops fitting.
